KDE Installation on SLES 12 SP5

Hi,

I’m trying to install KDE software on SLES 12 SP5 but give me the next problem:
Refreshing service ‘SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Server_12_SP5_x86_64’.
Refreshing service ‘SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Software_Development_Kit_12_SP5_x86_64’.
Refreshing service ‘SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Workstation_Extension_12_SP5_x86_64’.

Problem: nothing provides libQt5Gui5 = 5.5.1 needed by kwin5-5.5.5-3.1.x86_64
Solution 1: do not install pattern:kde-20150918-7.1.x86_64
Solution 2: break kwin5-5.5.5-3.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/c] (c): c
I did the same thing with SLES 11 or openSUSE Leap 15.2 with no problem and my question is if is possible and supported install KDE because we need the environment to work in SLES 12 SP5.
I tried this without success: https://www.suse.com/c/plasma-desktop-kde-frameworks-5-kde-applications-available-sle12/
There are many other software with similar problems like jungledisk and other software.

Hi and welcome to the Forum
Seems SLE 12 SP5 comes with libQt5Gui5 version 5.6.2, looks to me like kwin and other packages have not been rebuild for the later versions. On SUSE Package Hub at https://packagehub.suse.com/ there is an email contact at the bottom of the page. Can you send them an email of the issue. If you don’t here back, ping back here and will see if can find out more via my SUSE Contacts.
