can the suse manager license be used together with vmware esxi, for example if we have 3 vmware hosts is it necessary for 3 suse manager licenses? and can suse-manager be used for custom images other than suse images such as ubuntu / red hat ?
I’m not an expert on SUSE Manager licensing so I suggest that you contact SUSE via Subscriptions and Services Support | SUSE
However to answer some of your questions
- you don’t have the same number of SUSE Manager instances to match the number of VMware hosts
- VMware hosts are not managed by SUSE Manager, instead VMware guests (depending on OS) can be
