LSB

How do you get the Linux Standard Base (lsb) to SLES 12?

lsb_release only reports
LSB Version: n/a

Hi
The SUSE version needs an option else it defaults to -v for example;

lsb_release -a

LSB Version:	n/a
Distributor ID:	SUSE LINUX
Description:	SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12
Release:	12
Codename:	12

OK!

It is still: n/a.

I have read a lots of posts of LSB missing in SLES 12. But it is coming in SP1 or is it abandoned? The Roadmap of LSB in SLES is not so clear on this point.

Hi
Ahh, my bad (not enough coffee) :wink:

Yes, there is no /etc/lsb-release file for the version installed to read…

AFAIK lsb5 is on the way.
