mcelog error

I am getting a hourly cron job log report from mcelog. The error is
Unknown Intel CPU type family 6 model 2c. Is there any way I can
correct this log?

Is there a CPU set in your /etc/mcelog/mcelog.conf file?
(Usually it is blank)

mcelog --help will show a list of valid CPUs that it recognizes but default.
You can also use
#> mcelog --cpu xeon5500
which isn’t your exact CPU, but probably close enough until a patch or upgrade is released.
