Migrate from 32bit to 64bit

Hi,

does anybody know a safe and supported way to upgrade an SLES11SP3 32bit to 64bit?

There is absolutely no supported way. It might be possible using tricks
(google), but I can’t comment if they’re safe.

It depends on whether you’re asking how to migrate (as per subject) or
upgrade (as per message).

As Massimo already replied there is no supported way to upgrade 32-bit
SLES in-place to 64-bit.

However if you’re asking about migration then that’s different as it
involves setting up a replacement 64-bit server then transferring data
and/or services from your old 32-bit one.

There’s no low risk way to do this. Better off backing up your data, installing
64bit and restoring config and user data.
