Nagios on SELS 12 SP1

I’m installing nagios on SLES 12, using zypper nagios, but seems that some parts are not installed, ex: nagios-www, configuration file like /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg or /etc/apache2/conf.d/nagios.conf

The packagis and files are available in SLES 11, but not on SLES 12?
I’ve looked for documentation for SLES 12, but without success.

Can I have any suggestion?

Thanks, Fabrizio

Since the SLES12 media doesn’t include Nagios where are you getting the
Nagios packages from? Please post the output from “zypper se -s nagios”.

If you’re asking for general SLES12 documentation it’s at
https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles-12/index.html

As for Nagios on SLES12, the SLES12 release notes include

–begin–
"8.4.8.7 Nagios Server Now Part of a SUSE Manager Subscription

Support for Icinga (a successor of Nagios) will not be part of the SUSE
Linux Enterprise Server 12 subscription.

Fully supported Icinga packages for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 will
be available as part of a SUSE Manager subscription. In the SUSE Manager
context we will be able to deliver better integration into the
monitoring frameworks.

More frequent updates on the monitoring server parts than in the past
are planned.
—end—

and this will also apply to the latest SLES12 SP1.

HTH.

:frowning: ok, the nagios core is not more included on SLES 12, but this is not clear on Suse documents.
The release notes talks about icinga and Suse manager, not that nagios is removed.
So there are no monitoring included on SLES 12!?
