On-screen keyboard xvkbd

I want to install xvkbd or another on-screen keyboard on my SLES 11. How do I do this? It doesn’t seem to be in the repository. Is there another one?

Hi
What version of SLES 11 (as in service pack)

cat /etc/SuSE-release

Also what X desktop are you using, is this in a vm?

Patchlevel 2.
KDE.
Yes, this is running on VMware server.

Hi
So. xvkbd is only provided with SLED, not SLES. I have built a version
supplied with SLED 11 SP3 on the Open Build Service and should be available soon;
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/malcolmlewis:/SLE_11_SPn_General/SLE_11_SP2/
Just grab the arch your after and install manually, it’s unsupported of
course YMMV.

Cool, thank you! I was able to install it from that rpm.
But it behaves weird - it writes letters when I just hover with the mouse over a letter/character, without pressing the mouse key. Is this normal?

Hi
I believe there is some configuration required to work with the
xorg.conf file, have a look at the man page for some examples.
