What is the reason for not including and/or not supporting VirtualBox on SLES 11?
I see only Xen and KVM is mentioned to be supported on SLES 11.

VirtualBox is made by a third party. It’ll probably work just fine
(worked on OpenSUSE 11.x) but Novell/SUSE is not going to be able to
ship it or declare support for it (or any number of other random
third-party options). On the other hand, Xen and KVM are made by
Novell/SUSE and in general are a better fit for servers (you’re on SLES
after all) than VirtualBox.
Anyway, if you want to run it install and give it a try.
Good luck.

It can be installed from an additional repository - I see SLE11SP1 listed
in a search for VirtualBox at http://software.opensuse.org/search -
select “SLE 11 SP1” from the dropdown box and search for Virtualbox and
you’ll find backported packages.

Well, no more than any other application installed on SLES that isn’t
part of the standard distribution. Support would come from the
application vendor.

Thanx for your explanation. I rather stick to supported tools.
Would this document openSUSE Virtualization with KVM also be applicable to SLES 11? Seeing I am new to using KVM, as I have been a VirtualBox user all this time.
