The link you provided seems to be broken.

In the documentation it says:

openSUSE is not the same as SUSE Linux Enterprise.

here is the link this should work , yea I understand what are you saying but they are not providing any links or where to download the image I want to install on top of an already installed system

I have no idea what ‘openSuse SMT’ is, but SMT can be downloaded from the
SUSE download page:

https://download.suse.com/index.jsp

Choose ‘Subscription Management Tool’ from the drop-down, and then search.

Good luck.

I believe you need to download the iso and extract the content to your own http server.

Hi MacC10,

I downloaded the iso and put them into the virtual machine but when I try to install them I get this error

what does “cat /etc/*-release” return?

Jens

Hi
Correct, SMT is an add on for SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server)…
you need to have a SLES system installed and running, then install the
smt add on.
