Permission to access https://FQDN.suse.ma..repomd.xml denied

Hi all. I am trying to install some packages from a host that I just was able to add into SUMA as a client. But I get the: Permission to access ‘http://my.suma.server.suse.manager.com/pub/repositories/sle/12/1/bootstrap/repodata/repomd.xml’ denied.

It seems I can’t install any thing. Any idea why? I opened up the firewall for ssh protocol. Is this a files permission thing or a firewall protocol thing? Or neither?

Hi
Can you browse to the repository via a web browser ok? What are the
directory permissions/owner.

I can’t get to that site at all. Hmmmmm. 404 Not Found. /pub/repositories not found on this server. /pub not even found on the server.

OK, scratch the statement before. I can get to them in the web browser. Still not able to access it through the client.

One thing I don’t understand is that I can access http://FQDN/pub/repositories/sle/12/1/bootstrap/repodata/repomd.xml just fine from the web, but when trying to install a package from the client it tells me that http://FQDN.suse.manager.com/pub/repositories/sle/12/1/bootstrap/repodata/repomd.xml’ denied.

Why is it adding in the ‘suse.manager.com’ part?

Hi
I would fgrep down in the /etc directory for suse.manager.com
references…

I realized what I did. There was a command in the suse getting started manual that says:

  1. On your minion as root enter the following command:

zypper ar http://FQDN.SUSE.Manager.com/pub/repositories/sle/12/3/bootstrap/ \ sles12-sp3

So I did my full FQDN and then add the suse.manager.com part…

I wasn’t thinking. Just changed the line in the repo. Lol. Sorry Malcomlewis…you’ve been helping me out a lot buddy!
