Is it not possible to search the chat forum? Every search I try
returns no results. I even searched on “KVM” since I had a recent
posting about that. No results. ?

No, the chat forum was excluded from the search feature, based on the
notions that, at the time, the volume in chat was high enough to choke
the indexing of the forum, and that it’s not a support forum, and the
search is intended for support. : )
