I have seen some other postings around rancher OS and setting up NTPD but am still not sure how to configure it after looking at those postings and they look old from like version .3 ?
We are using rancher os
4.4.21-rancher #1 SMP Sat Oct 15 07:53:05 UTC 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have a few questions.

How do we configure NTPD on rancher OS, is this the same as any other linux distro, it seems rancherOS is very stripped down. Is there a howto on how to configure ntpd… It seems our servers have the daemon running, but they are definitely synchronized.

Once rancherOS is setup, does the time on the underlying OS get passed through to the docker container, or will the docker container have discrepancies?

if anyone Helps me with this I will create some documentation that a dummy can follow and submit it to be part of the rancher documentation, if this already exists I apologize, and would be honored for a link!
