SLES 11 SP3 and SMT

Hello, I’m using Yast to configure SMT and I would like to know what should I write as Registration Server Url and for Download Server Url ?
Presently I have scc.suse.com/connect and updates.suse.com but didn’t work.
I’m receiving invalid credential when I’m doing a test but I got the credential an password from SCC so they are good.
what can be wrong ?
Thank you

Dan

By default SMT syncs with Novell Customer Center. To sync with SUSE
Customer Center (SCC) you a) need to be running latest version of SMT
(at least smt-2.0.7-0.7.1), and b) switch to syncing with SCC. Please
see TID 7015836[1] for more information.

Hi,

Same issues here as well and I am running smt-2.0.11-0.9.1.

Have already selected the option to sync with SCC etc.

Back to the original question - are those URLs correct for the the registration server and download server?

Thanks

I believe the correct URLs are https://updates.suse.com/ (NUUrl) and
https://scc.suse.com/connect for registration URL (NURegUrl).

However note that to configure SMT for SCC (including switching from NCC
to SCC for an existing SMT instance) you can’t just change those URLs in
/etc/smt.conf but should instead run “smt ncc-scc-migration” (which will
set the correct registration server as part of other necessary steps).

Hi,

My issue is resolved and I think the OP probably had the same issue. In YAST2 it states ‘User’ and ‘Password’. When in fact what you want is the “mirroring credentials” from the SCC.

Apparently this is much clearer in the graphical version of YAST2.

Now I just have to figure out how to un-install SMT…

Thanks
