SLES Upgrade Path to SLES12 SP2

I currently have a few servers running SLES11 SP3 and want to upgrade them to SLES12 SP2 via installation media. The SLES12 SP2 documentation talks about the upgrade from earlier versions to SLES12 SP1. Can I do a straight upgrade from SLES11 SP3 directly to SLES12 SP2 or do I need to first upgrade to SLES12 SP1 and then follow the documentation to upgrade SLES12 SP1 to SLES12 SP2?

Hi
Yes, according to
https://www.suse.com/documentation/sled-12/book_sle_deployment/data/sec_update_sle12_automated.html
Update from SLES 11 SP3 → SLES 12 SP1 → SLES 12 SP2 from there from
the DVD media.

Please note that the above URL is from the SLED12 documentation
but should still apply for SLES12 … except I don’t think the
documentation has been updated to reflect the release of SLE12
SP2 and not just because it still refers to SP1. I’ll ask my SUSE
contacts.

One of the features of SLE12 SP2 is to “skip service packs” when
upgrading[1] although according to the slides from session
TUT88422[2] from the recent SUSECON 2016 this may require first
upgrading SLE11 SP3 to SLE11 SP4.

HTH.
