SLES X86 64 bit installation

Hello Experts

i have an issue installing SLES 11SP3 in a virtual box ,
i have downloaded the below ISO files for SLES software

SLES-11-SP3-DVD-i586-GM-DVD1.iso
SLES-11-SP3-DVD-i586-GM-DVD2.iso

i asumed this would be 64-bit software , but after installation i tried to run oracle runinstaller i got the below message

“You are attempting to install 64-bit Oracle on a 32-bit operating system. This is not supported and will not work.”

from terminal i have the below output

oraupg01:/opt/oracle/SOFTWARE/database # uname -a
Linux oraupg01 3.0.76-0.11-pae #1 SMP Fri Jun 14 08:21:43 UTC 2013 (ccab990) i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

i read on the download page that this DVD1 containing both 32 and 64 bit SLES software , i am not sure how , and how could i drive the installation towards
64-BIT installation

your help is highly appreciated

Thanks and best regards

Hello Experts

Thank you , i am noe sure i installed wrong software , i installed really 32 bit software , unfortunately i have to destroy the machine , download the correct software DVD , and reinstall .

Thank you .

You need the ISO with x86_64 in the name. You don’t need DVD2 unless you want to rebuild packages from source.
