Hi i’m trying the SM3.
I like to make a System, shown in Target Systems, to a Managed System.
The rhncfg* Package is installed at the Client. I marked the System and clicked “enable SUSE Manager Configuration Management”. The sate is green, no Error.
Then i go to the System (a SLES12.2) and try to run rhn_check local.
but rhn_check is not found.
rhncfg
rhncfg-actions
rhncfg-client
rhncfg-Management
are installed on the System.
Where can i find the rhn_check?
Best regards
Helga

For all with the same problem like me:
- rhn_check wird im “alten” spacewalk Kommunikationsstack verwendet.
- Das was in der Web UI vom SUSE unter “Configuration Management” zu
finden ist, basiert auf dem “alten” spacewalk Kommunikationsstack und
kann nicht mit Salt angebundenen Clients verwendet werden.

- rhn_check is part of the “old” spacewalk communications stack
- what’s shown under “Configuration Management” (within the SUSE Manager UI) applies to the “old” spacewalk stack and cannot be used in conjunction with clients configured to use Salt.

I have the exact same problem
So you cannot use configuration management with the salt client through the Suse Manager UI?
