I’m using suse manager 3.1 to patch about 100 redhat 7 servers and just wondering how everyone else has this configured.
I am fairly new to Suse Manager, and have configured a base redhat 7 channel with a number of child channels underneath for 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 (I have a repo for each one).
I find that the patching has been flakey and i constantly get the below errors on the clients (Yes I’ve seen the redhat articles on the below issue, but these still persist.)
ive also found that suse manager is not updating to show that a server has had a particular patch applied (on some servers). E.g. I apply the patch but suse manager still thinks the server needs the patch.
I’m thinking that its probably my config, but anyone else had similar issues?

I’m facing the same problem. Also with 7.2 and 7.3. Seems that it only appears to some of the repos. Not all and every time the same. Didn’t find a solution yet. Keep searching…
Yes, almost the same way. Created the Channel and bound the media as repo into the channel. Everything seems to work fine. Kickstart installation for example. There are just the error with the comps.xml. No other problems.
