SUSE 12 Gnome interactions in VMware

I’m running SUSE 12 on vsphere 5.5 u2 and I’ve come across a couple of issues.

  1. cut, copy & paste doesn’t work outside the vm. Can’t cut/copy-paste from windows desktop into the vm or vise-versea. I have all my hosts configured to allow it.

  2. Wheel mouse doesn’t work in yast2, seems to work everywhere else.

  3. nautilus right click doesn’t have “create file”

Note: I was able to deploy from vm template but only after installing the open-vm-tools-deploypkg from vmware.

Seems to me that SUSE 12 needs a little more work.

If anyone has a fix for 1 & 3 I be very happy to hear it.

Thanks

Hi
For 3, in the interim you could use my file-roller and nautilus
file-roller package from here;

#3 was just a minor thing I’ll wait for a update hat will hopefully add back in.

One other thing - do you happen to know what the new [file] can’t be put into the trash. Do you want to delete it immediately ? dialog box is all about ?

Hi
Under Nautilus preferences have you checked the box, under behavior tab
to add a delete button?

I also see that on partitions outside of the one / is on that my
user doesn’t have permissions to create a trash folder.
