From https://www.suse.com/products/suse-manager/how-to-buy/
“A SUSE Manager installation consists of at least one SUSE Manager
Server and the SUSE Manager Lifecycle Management entitlement for each
managed system that has an active SUSE Linux Enterprise subscription.
SUSE Manager Monitoring entitlements may be added for each managed
system to provide additional functionality.”
It would therefore seem that you need one Lifecycle Management
entitlement per managed system and the there is an optional Monitoring
entitlement you can add per managed system.
I’ve also found TID 7015697[1] which suggests there are up to four
licenses that can be assigned to a SUSE Manager 1.7 or 2.1 server -
Server, Management, Provisioning, and Monitoring.

Hi Simon,
thx for the clarification. The price list do not show that you need
Lifecycle Mgmt AND Monitoring (not OR).
