SUSE-OPENSTACK-CLOUD-7-x86_64-GM-DVD1 won't boot

Hi all. I have the problem that with the recently SUSE-OPENSTACK-CLOUD-7-x86_64-GM-DVD1.ISO I downloaded yesterday, it just doesn’t boot in VMWare or VirtualBox. I’ve already tried/checked:

  • MD5: pass.
  • In VMWare, I tried configuring a virtual DVD device in SATA, SCSI and IDE, same result every time.
  • I also tried to mount the ISO en Daemon or Alcohol in my Windows 10 host in order to tell my VMWare or VirtualBox to use that physical unit to boot, same result.

Is there anything wrong with the ISO published?
I’m having trouble with the simplest thing!! :frowning:
Please help!!
Thanks!!
Regards,
Carlos.

Hi,
you don’t boot from the media, it’s an “addon product” to SLES.

Just to be specific SUSE OpenStack Cloud 7 is an add-on to SLES12 SP2.

Note that SUSE OpenStack Cloud 8 was recently released and is an add-on
to SLES12 SP3.
