There used to be, but SPARC is not listed at ‘Technical Information |
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server’
(http://www.suse.com/products/server/technical-information/)

Hi
There was, way back at S.u.S.E. Linux 7.3 I think. There was a user on
the openSUSE side that was looking at resurrecting a build (don’t know
the status) on the Open Build Service.
The iso images have been removed from the mirrors in 2007 of that
version, but if that’s what you want (5 CD’s worth) I can ask my Novell
contacts if it’s still about somewhere.

I’m very dubious as to what value there is in installing SUSE 7.3 even
if it is just ‘for trying’. It’s about ten years old. Linux on Sparc is
quite a niche thing to be doing, but you can get something newer than
ten years old.
There’s evidence of an ‘openSUSE’ (http://en.opensuse.org/SPARC) Sparc
build but it lists “an installer image is currently absent” as one of
it’s bugs, which seems like something of a hindrance to using it.
There are Sparc versions of the current ‘Debian’
(http://www.debian.org/ports/sparc) release and ‘Gentoo’ (
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-sparc-faq.xml) releases. I’ve not
tried either of them myself since I don’t have access to any Sparc
hardware. There’s a Sparc version of ‘Fedora’
(https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/SPARC) too but that looks
less promising.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for information. My customer is used to work on Suse so that i
used ‘for trying’ and they have and old sparc hardware .They want to
use some linux commands to test purpose for another node.So i informed
them there is no sparc for Suse that we can’t test with old hardware.
