TypeError: Cannot read property 'name' of undefined

I searched the forum and found some similar problems but the were listed as resolved in previous versions of Rancher

I am on v.51.0
I am running the Rancher server on EC2 and the mysql database is on RDS.

When I attempt to provision an instance using the Amazon EC2 option under Hosts I get this error. I am using the US-West-1 region and I am sure that the account I am using has permissions to add EC2 instances.

Steps to Re-create
Browse to Hosts
Click Add Host
Select Amazon EC2
Enter the Access key
Enter the Secret key
Click Next: Authenticate and Select Network
Error:
TypeError: Cannot read property ‘name’ of undefined

Please see the Github issue which contains the workaround. This error occurred due to the addition of AWS regions.

Thanks Denise. I saw that but did not think it was relevant because I thought it was listed at fixed.

It’s fixed in v0.55.0-rc releases, but v0.55.0 is not out yet.
