UPGRADE FAILED: the server could not find the requested resource (get configmaps)

Hi Everyone,

I have created a single node Rancher installation with a Kubernetes cluster installed on the same machine with RKE.

The Cluster and Rancher seem to be working (I can log in on the UI, cluster status page all green … etc)

I am trying to install the Docker Registry app from the Library catalog but it fails with: Failed to install app docker-registry-p-54qjq. Error: UPGRADE FAILED: the server could not find the requested resource (get configmaps)

Also, the app cannot be removed and is constantly in the “Installing” status.

I am new to Rancher and Kubernetes, trying to work out things from the docs.

Any help is appreciated,
Andras

I see you withdrew this post. Did you find a solution?

Nope, I haven’t found one yet for the Helm install problem.

The post I withrew was a workaround for an other problem when I couldn’t make a workload accessible externally because - I think - the Rancher UI contructs the Service object badly and the service will never connect to the selected Workload.

I have the same issue… Can’t install new or upgrade existing apps.

Does anyone know a workaround?

Seems like Helm or some basic functionality in Rancher is broken in 2.2.4 which sounds very bad. Would be nice to know if this works for someone who cleanly installed this version.
