How can I convert from using xm to xl (i.e., XAPI) to manage Xen on SLES 11?

The directions on the xen.org wiki seem incomplete: After disabling xend and rebooting the host, xl doesn’t seem to know about any of the preexisting DomU’s. Hu?!

This prescription also has the disadvantage of ignoring the /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp configuration file (e.g., the xend-relocation-[server|port|address] settings are ignored). :mad:
