Weird issue

Ok, so apparently we are having something really weird happen @ a
remote site.

We have an IP phone connected to the switch with a computer connected
behind it. When the computer is rebooted or shut down, the phone gets
disconnected from the network and reboots. If the computer is
disconnected from the phone & rebooted, the phone stays up.

We have taken a different phone over there, tried different switchports
for the phone, as well as updated nic drivers and firmware on the
computer.

Any ideas what would be causing this laptop to cause a reboot on the
phone when the laptop is shut down?

Maybe stick a hub and a sniffer in and see what’s happening on the
network?

EFI? I would move the phone by extending 10-20 metres away via a
hub\switch that would isolate it even more from any noise.
