Hi and welcome to the Forum :slight_smile:
I would guess it’s graphics card related, perhaps a nvidia card or dual graphics?

Can you post the output from;

/sbin/lspci -nnk |egrep -A3 "VGA|Display|3D"

Hi
Ahh, so it’s in a virtual machine, you haven’t set any grub options at
boot time?

Do you get to the login screen (gdm)? If so can you try IceWM instead
of gnome?

Also could you post the output from the latest Xorg log
(/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to somewhere like http://paste.opensuse.org/ and
set to never expire;

Hi
The other thing is that the system is registered and all up to date?

Last but not least, try xdm and IceWM either via yast (ncurses version) change the /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager to xdm and the /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager to icewm and see how that goes.

Hi,
Repositories are all up to date. Sles 12 SP3 is registered.

I changed gdm to xdm in /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager. Xdm works.

I found error in the logs message:
