Xen to KVM migration

We are preparing to move to new server hardware for our virutalization plattform. The last 5 years we have been using Xen on Sles but now we would like to go with KVM.

We have been making attempts to migrate our present servers from Xen to KVM but have had no success. We have been following suggestions like XEN to KVM Migration. But this and other posts on how to do this are all very old and we are wondering why there is so little discussion on this subject.

Have any of you made successful migrations?
