Application menu bar is missing

Hi, I installed sles 12.2. After fresh install it is as shown below.

I don’t know how, the “Applications” lunchbar is missing now. Only “Places” is still there. How do I make it appear again? Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the Forum :slight_smile:
Looks like the GNOME SLE Classic shell theme, perhaps you have switched off an extension via the tweaks GUI? If you logout and then after selecting or entering your user name, select the cog and check which desktop session is selected, perhaps try just the GNOME one?

I am completely new to sles, or should I say linux system.

What is that cog you mentioned? Could you give me some screenshot on where to select it? or could you link me to any document that I could read about.
