I’m a Linux newbie and have recently built 2 x SLES 11 SP1 servers and installed Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack. I had an issue with one server after upgrading to SP2 and Data Sync 1.2.5. I’m now in a situation where I have wasted enough time trying to resolve the issue and want to start over and rebuild the one server with SLES 11 SP2. Neither server are currently in use. What’s the best method? Can I reboot the server from the SLES installation CD & overwrite the existing build?

If you do that and specify a new installation you will go through the
section of the install where you configure your drives and partitions.
You don’t /have/ to do anything but you have the option to change the
configuration if you need to.
I /believe/ the drive will be repartitioned and all existing data will
be gone.
