burning DVD of SLED-11-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD2.iso

hi,

I downloaded SLED-11-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD2.iso file from SUSE ftp server.
Its size is over 5.9GB. My Moserbaer DVD is of 4.7GB capacity.

Please tell if there any way I can shrink it or split it, so as to make
it ready for installation.

thanks in advance.
uv.

Hi
DVD2 is the src rpm’s, just copy the iso image to a directory on the
server and the use YaST add on products to include on the system. Just
select a local iso image when asked.

Else you will need to burn to dual layer media

SLED-11-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD2.iso contains only source packages. Usually you don’t need them. All of[/color]
them, already compiled and ready for installation, can be found on
DVD1.
Also, before installing anything from source packages you need to
install development packages from > SLE-11-SP1-SDK-DVD-x86_64-GM-DVD1.iso.
