Cloud-Init and Utils for Openstack image

Hi Guys,

How do I get these packages so I can build an openstack image for our private cloud?

I have heard that you need to be subscribed to the suse cloud repository is that correct?

Or can I get these tools from elsewhere?

Thanks

Lance

Which version of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server are you running?

With SLES12 the cloud-init package is available via the Public Cloud module:

Information for package cloud-init:

Repository: SLE-Module-Public-Cloud12-Pool
Name: cloud-init
Version: 0.7.5-8.8
Arch: x86_64
Vendor: SUSE LLC https://www.suse.com/
Installed: No
Status: not installed
Installed Size: 1.2 MiB
Summary: Cloud node initialization tool
Description:
Cloud-init is an init script that initializes a cloud node (VM)
according to the fetched configuration data from the admin node.

I don’t see a cloud-utils package.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the reply It seems the IBm ICo “needs” these packages to be able to deploy guests.

So I will keep digging.

Thanks again
