Error HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authorization Required

Hi,

I am having issues with my proxy as I am not able to perform Online Update, Novell Customer Center Configuration and Proxy test.

During Proxy Test, I am getting the error: Proxy return code: HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authorization Required. I have defined the proxy user and password thru YaST.

Same with Novell Customer Center Configuration, I am getting an error: Failure when receiving data from the peer (56) which I think is related to the proxy issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

Proxy is now working, I got the wrong username.

My only concern right now is the Novell Configuration with error Failure when receiving data from the peer (56) .

Hi AJ,

is this the same machine for which you reported that registration was successful? IOW, “case closed”?
