It doesn’t look like cattle is coming along for the ride in 2.0.
I’m looking to get an idea on where EOL for rancher 1.x is in the roadmap. I’m sure many others who’ve invested in cattle have similar concerns.

1.x will continue to be supported until at least next summer.
But cattle is not “going away” in 2.0 except in name. 2.0 still provides the same (well newer) UI, API, and CLI you’re used to. All that’s changing is the process at the end that creates the actual containers. If you don’t want to know that kubernetes exists, you will not ever need to interact with it. And we are taking steps to minimize the overhead in terms of compute resources.
