How to install Ansible via Suse Manager, not in repository

Hi,

At our customers place I tried to install Ansible , we are using Suse Manager, but Ansible is not listed it seems. How can I install this? Do I need to add a channel?

Hi and welcome to the Forum :slight_smile:
It’s available via package hub, what release of SLE are you working with?
https://packagehub.suse.com/packages/ansible/

You will need to go to the Admin panel on the Web UI to add for the SLE release => 12

Hi!

Thank you for the welcome.

When I look in the Suse Manager interface, I already see the package hub. But when I try to install something on one of our client systems (client relative to Suse Manager I mean), then zypper install ansible does not work.

Do I need to do something to fetch packages from this channel?

I see this item is listed when i click on channels in de admin interface:
– SLES12-SP2-Pool for x86_64
\

       Channel Name SUSE-PackageHub-12-SP2-Pool for x86_64
       Channel Label suse-packagehub-12-sp2-pool-x86_64

Hi
And the SUSE-PackageHub channel has synced and you can see the Ansible
package present?

If so, have you then updated the SLE channel for the systems to include
package hub (a check box)?

Hi!

Thanks for your answer!

How can I check for this?

I see the channel contains no packages. I guess I need to sync, but I need to find out how to do this…

Hi
You can use the Web UI → Admin and the tab with all the channels and
off to the right and select the refresh/sync now button to populate the
channel, or use the command line tools to sync.

You might want to have a look through the documentation here as well;
