Where do i get the sources for KDE3? kmail from KDE3 in particular?
Kmail2 from KDE4 is did not become suitable until OS 12.3 version of KDE4.
Thus i need to rebuild KDE3 kmail for OS 12.1 and 12.3.

Why not just use kmail from the kde3 repo?

Because the version in KDE3 for OS 12.1 is a KDE4 kmail. Thus the need to
build it myself.
I couldn’t find kmail sources in the following place:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/
Which looks like the right place to look but i cannot find kmail sources
even in the OS 11.1 repository sources.
So where has it gone? Is kmail under some name other than kmail?
?-)

I think it uses another name. I went back to 10.2, and I could not find
a package named kmail. I can tell you that in 13.1 it comes in kdepim3.
So I looked on 9.3, and it comes on the same package.
For 12.1, the sources are here:
http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_12.1/src/
Not all mirrors will have all the 12.1 files, because 12.1 is out of
maintenance.
