Mouting usb 3.0 devices via a usb 3.0 hub

Hi,

I have a TU3-H4 TRENDnet usb 3.0 hub connected to one of the two usb
3.0 rear-ports of my ASRock H67M-ITX/HT.
If I connect my new usb 3.0 key on the other rear-port, SLED11 SP1
mounts it automatically.
If I connect the same key via the usb 3.0 hub, it is not mounted.
Only usb 2.0 devices are mounted via the usb 3.0 hub.
More, if I connect the usb 3.0 key to the rear-port and start
connecting several usb 2.0 devices to the usb 3.0 hub, at a certain
moment, I get a complete freeze of SLED11 SP1… or a crash, if you
prefer. Only a reset solves the issue.

When the usb 3.0 key is connected to the 4th port of the usb 3.0 hub,

If I connect my new usb 3.0 key on the other rear-port, SLED11 SP1

Is the HUB powered? If not you maybe overloading the port power (500mA)

yes, the sub 3.0 hub comes with its power supply.
Please note, I don’t encounter any problem running two usb 2.0 hdd +
one key.

So if it locks up, is there any information of what happened in the
logs (/var/log/messages)?

I have a feeling it may require a bug to be raised, or contact the
developers on the linux-usb mailing list.
