Rancher 1.6 end of life?

when will rancher labs will stop supporting rancher 1.6? which rancher labs is already focusing on rancher 2.0

i’ve been using rancher 1.6 for my local/remote development environment and production. just hoping rancher 1.6 will still be supported all the way.

Hi,

Is that mean after Rancher 1.6 EOL, if we would like to upgrade the docker engine to its latest, it won’t be possible because of that? Is there any support options could provide if we would like to keep using Rancher 1.6 after EOL? Do we need to migrate to 2.3 if we need to keep the docker engine to its latest version after EOL for Rancher 1.6?
