Rancher and RancherVM Coexistence

I am trying to configure a single Centos 7 server VM that can run Rancher and RancherVM simultaneously. It has to be a single VM for distribution and demo purposes and I only need RancherVM to run a single Windows thick client app for the containerized servers.

I am finding that there are no real instructions on how to install Rancher and RancherVM on the same machine. They appear to be separate UI’s running on the same port. I don’t understand why there isn’t one UI to manage both.

Can they coexist on the same server? Do they have to use different UI’s?

You can use both, but they are unrelated projects. 8080 is just a common port, you can change the published port in the run command to whatever you want.
