Server Not Managed by this Site:- How to remove it?

Hi,
I have a licensing problem with one of out OES11 SP2 servers, and I need to remove it and then relicense it. There was no problem doing this with NCC, but now things have changed, I cannot now see a way to carry out this operation as, event though the server shows up in SCC, it is marked that it is not managed here, so where is it managed, now NCC is completely different?

Any pointers would be most welcome.

Regards

ChasR

OES 11 SP2, being a Novell product, stays on ncc.novell.com. Please log in to ncc.novell.com and manage your system there.

The data on scc.suse.com is regularly synced from ncc.novell.com. So after you changed the system on ncc.novell.com, the change will show up on scc.suse.com.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. The problem is that I used to get to this site from the Novell worldwide page, and now the customer centre does not offer me such options to administer the servers. I have had no luck in connecting to ncc.novell.com, I take it the site is http://ncc.novell.com, but no luck with this today. Can you please confirm the settings.

Cheers,

ChasR.

My bad, sorry. The correct link is https://www.novell.com/center but it seems to be down currently.

Well, its not down, but very, very slow.

Thanks, the site is up now:–I have already connected to this site for the last couple of days, and search high and low for the list of my servers to administer, but I cannot find it anywhere. Novell seem to have forgotten to include it with the new site. Can you direct me to the correct location as I am having no luck with this new site.

ChasR

Sorry, I have no direct insight into the Novell Customer Center. Please use the feedback link provided at the bottom of https://www.novell.com/customercenter/app/home.

Thanks, thought you might know the answer. I have send a request off, and when I hear the answer, I will post it here, as I am sure that I will not be the only one to query this.

Cheers,

ChasR.

Here is the answer from Novell:

Unfortunately it is not yet possible to remove systems in SCC that got registered via NCC. We are working on this feature and it will be available soon.
In the meantime you do not need to worry about subscriptions being over-used, you will still be able to activate new systems.

Hope this is of interest.

Just got an update from Suse:-

I’m happy to inform you that the ability to remove NCC-registered systems from SUSE Customer Center is finally there.
When you remove systems, your subscriptions’ system totals should be updated.

Thank you for your patience.
Please report any further bugs that you encounter in SCC.

Greetings,
SCC Team.

Hope this is of interest,
