SLES 11 official repo

Hi

I’m new to suse and looking for the suse official urls of the repositories (update, usefull tools, …), because I only have the DVD in my list of repos, no updatee, no… Nothing else, indeed
Anyone can help?

Thx!!

Well, you mentioned SLES so I assume you already know about the ISOs from
download.novell.com and the like; repositories are based on activation and
malcolmlewis just posted this snippet in another thread, so I’ll copy it
here because it’s worded so well:

Else if you look on the NCC page for your system, down the bottom there is a link to 'Mirror Credentials' this has the username/password for you to use and the list of URLs to add manually via YaST Software Repositories.

The NCC, in case it is not clear, is the Novell Customer Center
(http://support.novell.com/center) and is where you manage your activation
credentials, machines, service requests (SR), etc.

Good luck.

Allright, thank you
I also checked the version that has been purchased (licence/activation code), and it seems to me that our sales team have been mistaken.
They bought a SLES 10, while 11 was required… What could explain that even after the registration, no configuration is added…

Have a nice day
Emeric

As I recall a valid activation applies to both versions so this likely is
not a problem. You still need to register and setup the repositories,
which is done via Yast: Miscellaneous: Novell Customer Center (as I recall).

Good luck.

Ah so it’s SLES you have and not OES.

TID 7010225 lists the repos available for SLES11 SP2 (which you referenced
in the your other thread in the Novell OES support forums) although you can
only subscribe to them after successfully registering your server.

HTH.
