We have a OES 11 Sp1 Server this is using Samba using NCP volumes (as NSS causes problems - random Freeze)
In another department we have a SLES11 Server running Samba - we have a Public share which everyone can access.
I need to setup another share with controlled access as we already use eDir on OES + GroupWise
I would like to set this Samba with LDAP using our eDir
I’ve setup LDAP and input eDir details - Test connection works
But I’m lost after that !
(not using a domain - just workgroup)
I can find lots of info on setting up OpenLDAP and AD but absolutely nothing about using eDir as LDAP !!
Would appreciate any pointer / how to or link to documentation

it might be a good idea to check the eDirectory forum (https://forums.netiq.com/forumdisplay.php?50-eDir-Linux), too - I’d assume that more of the folks that run this type of setup hang out over there. Another good place to ask might be in one of the OES/Linux forums (https://forums.novell.com/forumdisplay.php/514-OES-Linux).
