Is there a supported/official tacacs+/tac_plus package for SLES11 or SLES12?
If not, has anyone a working init script that’s used in production?
Ofcourse there’s always the compile option and writing a dirty init script, but I guess there’s no harm in asking

Actually the init script in those packages seems written for RHEL rather than SLE.
Had to rewrite it in order to get it to work.
It also references /etc/pam.d/system-auth which isn’t used in Suse (simple symlink seems to do the trick tho…).
A bit messy but it works.

You want might to send that feedback to the package maintainers (last person in the changelog email) about the init script?
Did you use on SLE 11 or SLE 12? In SLE there is a /etc/init.d/skeleton file which is there to be copied/modified for SLE…
