may I assume you mean “firmware”?
While some cards (not only networking) will receive their firmware dynamically at system boot, most cards have their firmware stored in non-volatile memory on the card. You have to check the according hardware manufacturer for updates, which you’ll as the admin have to install separately. It then has nothing to do with the OS you run on the server.

Maybe the cards are from different batches, especially if some cards were exchanged after installation as part of some hardware service.
