Kdenlive needs some LADSPA plugins.

Check with:

su

SUSEConnect --list-extensions

yast2 sw_single

your software installation and your software repositories.

You have to install Kdenlive and some LADSPA plugins from SUSE Package Hub:
https://packagehub.suse.com/#packages

Then you have to check and set LADSPA_PATH environment variable:

export LADSPA_PATH=

Hi Anderas,
thanks for help. When I installed some years ago it worked out of the box.
Ok. It is installed from SUSE Package Hub:
I have installed LADSPA plugins - they come quite automatically if you know they are missing.

Variable: There are several pathes. I chosed this one:

export LADSPA_PATH=/usr/lib64/ladspa

Correct?

To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash)
export $(dbus-launch)”

here seems a file missing or setting wrong.

Hey there! Sorry to hear that Kdenlive is not working for you. I’m new to this forum, but I do have some experience with video editing software. Have you tried installing the missing icon theme and LADSPA plugins? It seems like that might be causing the issue.
You can also browse, among other tools. For instance, I’ve recently discovered a video splitter online. It’s a handy tool for editing and splitting videos without the need for software installation. It’s free and easy to use, so it might be worth checking out if you’re having trouble with Kdenlive.

Here changing an environment variable helped.

Search for QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME to see additional values that have helped.

Some say that using KDE works better than other desktop systems in regards to kdenlive.

Tbh, that’s the reason why I use DaVinci for video editing. I’ve never had any issues with that software. Anyway, thanks for sharing the solution.

Hey there, I totally get where you’re coming from with DaVinci. I’ve heard so many good things about it. I’m actually new to this forum, but I wanted to chime in and say that unlimited video editing is so important for anyone who wants to create high-quality content. Thanks for sharing your experience with DaVinci - it’s always helpful to hear what works for others.

I used Kine master and had the best experience with it.
