Black screen on wake after hibernation

Hello all,

After upgrading my system (SLED11) to SP3 and re-installing video drivers, I noticed that when I try to resume the session after hibernation, my screen goes black at the point where it’s supposed to show the log-in screen (by black I mean black, not blank, there is no backlight).

At first, I thought that it was something to do with the AMD video drivers, so I tried using different ones and still ended up the same.

I currently have: ati-fglrxG03-kmp-pae and x11-video-fglrxG03 installed.

Since changing the drivers didn’t change anything, my guess would be that there’s something wrong with the configuration of hibernation, however, I don’t really know if that’s possible and where to go from here.

I would appreciate any help

Thank you.

Hi
You might have to troll through the logs to see if anything pops out.
Have a look in /var/log pm-powersave.log, Xorg.n.log(.old)'s and maybe
even your user hidden file .xsession-errors file.
