As part of installing a new SMT server the ‘yast smt-server’ setup failed since it couldn’t connect to the mariadb. It looks like the latest version in the MS Azure repo (mariadb-10.0.29-22.1) doesn’t work. If I force the version back to mariadb-10.0.28-17.2 it seems to work but no longer works if I update to the latest. Let me know what information might help.

From the web forums I can see you selected SLES12 SP2 as the release
you’re using but I’m confused by your reference to “MS Azure repo”. Is
your SLES12 SP2 server perhaps hosted in a Microsoft Azure cloud?

I’ve since been testing with an image that was captured later and it doesn’t have the problem so I’ll keep an eye out and hopefully it won’t happen again. Thanks for the replies.
