Network does not work

Hi

I am using SLED 11.3 and try to use a new computer. Dell Optiplex XE3
The problem is that the network does not work.

ifconfig only return Loopback. No eth0

I guess that the hardware is to new for the old SUSE version.
But how shall I solve the problem?

Hi
Does the system have PCIeX1 slots available, grab a third party ethernet card to drop in that has drivers in the kernel your using?

Else you would need to look at building a driver (backporting) which would not be supported.

Can you post the output from;

uname -a
/sbin/lspci -nnk |grep -A3 Network

Hi
The output is:
0:1:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corporation I210 Gigabit Network Connection [8086:1533] (rev 03)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Ethernet Server Adapter I210-T1 [8086:0001]
Kernel driver in use: igb
