no network card after new installation sles10 sp4, agere

hello ,

I have installed a Linux SUSE Enterprise 10 SP4 Server. After the
installation and connecting the machine to the network, the network card
does not seem to be detected.

The hardware was checked and i see it in the hardware overview (yast)

Its a agere et131x network card , “agere ET-131x PCI-E Ethernet Controller” [11c1:ed00] (rev 03)

Linux 2.6.16.60-0.85.1-bigsmp #1 SMP Thu Mar 17 11:45:06 UTC 2011 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

SLES 10 (i586)
patchlevel=4

Please help me to resolve this issue.
