Today marks the beginning of the next phase of our journey together, and I’m thrilled to announce that SUSE has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Rancher Labs.
This is GREAT NEWS! 
All of you know and love Rancher’s tools for deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters, and SUSE brings to the table their tremendous strength in Enterprise Linux, Edge Computing, and AI. SUSE is a strong believer in open source software and keeping their users free from vendor lock-in, and these are two of the very same things that we believe here at Rancher.
This agreement is signed but not yet closed. After closing, the entire community will benefit from the combined resources and strengths of both companies and their products and solutions, with Rancher continuing to build software that is open and infrastructure-agnostic.
