Guys,
I hate to admit that I never really understood where the actual Registration Code needs to be put when hosts are registered through SMT.
SCC correctly shows the SMT server under “Proxies” and indeed it shows the machines we have locally registered through SMT. However all those hosts have “No subscription assigned” in the “Subscriptions” column.
How do I assign a registration code / subscription to a host when SMT is used? Somehow using “clientSetup4SMT.sh” or using “SUSEConnect” after that?
I have not found a single line about this in the docs located at https://documentation.suse.com/sles/12-SP4/single-html/SLES-smt/#smt-registrations-schedule
The only thing I found is:
forwardRegistration
For SMT 11, this option determined whether the clients registered at SMT should be registered at Novell Customer Center, too. This option does not work with SUSE Customer Center yet.
